Beware Of The Stalker

Hey Jason,

I had the most amazing relationship with my ex-girlfriend. We would do everything together. Then all of a sudden out of nowhere she declared that our relationship was over and she dumped me. I was blindsided. It didn’t make any sense. Everything was great and it all went to shit without rhyme or reason.

This happened a month ago and I haven’t been the same. I’ve been checking up on her on facebook and following her around because I know she is with someone else. I keep thinking of her being with this guy and it makes me want to punch a hole through the wall. I called her the other night and when she picked up I swear I could hear another guy’s voice in the background. I want her back so badly and it really hurts. I haven’t felt like me because she is now a part of me that has been stripped away. I don’t want to come off as a pathetic whiner, but I know we are soul mates and she is making a terrible mistake. How can I make it clear to her that we are meant to be?

ANSWER

There’s a word that describes what you are doing…it’s called “stalking” and it’s creepy as hell. Your girlfriend is gone and she isn’t coming back. Things obviously were not going great as you say or else she’d still be with you. You’re deluding yourself.

You are obsessed with your ex because you don’t have answers. You clearly did not know things were bad and now you are left dangling in the unknown. It’s human nature to want answers, but there are none here. You need to stop calling and checking up on her. It’s not healthy and it will only get worse if you continue with this behavior. Move on and get some professional help so you can get some closure.
